"The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions," Springsteen explained. Throughout the set, that sonic experimentation takes the form of film soundtrack work (for a movie that was never made) on Faithless, country combos with pedal steel on Somewhere North of Nashville, richly woven border tales on Inyo, orchestra-driven, mid-century noir on Twilight Hours and E Street favored rock on Perfect World.<br/> <br/>The Lost Albums are available in limited-edition nine-LP format, including original packaging for each previously unreleased record, with a 100-page cloth-bound, hardcover book featurimng rare archival photos, liner notes on each lost album from essayist Erik Flannigan and a personal introduction on the project from Springsteen himself.

Back in the early '70s, television was an integral tool for exposure of musical artists into the home. Completely decked out with his touring light show and stage setup in The Mothers' private rehearsal hall, Frank Zappa attempted to commit to videotape material for his own TV production, ultimately with the intention to shop to major networks. Unfortunately, there were technical issues that ultimately contributed to the footage being shelved and stored in the Vault.<br/> <br/>50 years later, with the advancements in post-production editorial tools, we present Cheaper Than Cheep. Swans return with Birthing, the latest album, developed over the course of a yearlong 2023-2024 tour. <br/>Birthing is released via Mute and Young God Records. The initial pressings of the deluxe vinyl and CD include a bonus DVD featuring Swans Live 2024 (Rope) The Beggar, a concert film by Marco Porsia documenting the band's most recent US tour. The DVD also includes I Wonder If I'm Singing What You're Thinking Me To Sing, a documentary by Christopher Nicholson following Michael Gira's 2022 solo tour.
