Cohen Leonard
För mindre än en månad sedan hamnade Leonard Cohen i topp på den svenska topplistan med sitt album You Want It Darker vilket faktiskt var hans första topplisteetta i Sverige. Idag när vi vaknar möts vi av den sorgliga nyheten att Cohen gått bort 82 år gammal. Men hans musik finns kvar. Han lämnar efter sig en fantastisk skatt med låtar men just idag är givetvis denna ganska självklar att spela. Tack för all fantastisk musik och grattis till den där förstaplatsen du äntligen fick i Sverige.

Leonard Cohen, född 21 september 1934 i Montreal, Québec, Kanada, är en kanadensisk sångare, låtskrivare, musiker, poet och författare. Leonard Cohen har sålt 60 miljoner album världen över.
Cohens texter rör sig runt teman som religion, ensamhet, sexualitet och komplicerade personliga förhållanden.
Han har inspirerat en rad musiker, inte minst goth-gruppen Sisters of Mercy som tog sitt namn efter en av Cohens kompositioner. Åren 1994 till 1999 tillbringade han i ett zenbuddhistiskt kloster vid foten av Mount Baldy utanför Los Angeles, Kalifornien. Numera bor han i Los Angeles. Under 2008 genomför han sin första turné på 15 år. Den inkluderar konserter i Kanada och Europa.
