Norges kultakt Obtained Enslavement bildades 1989 med sångaren Pest - nu känd black metal legend genom Gorgoroth. Witchcraft deras uppföljning, andra studioalbum som ursprungligen släpptes 1997. Nu på vinyl för första sedan 1997.

Norsk kultakt som bildades 1989 inledningsvis death metal-centrerad, innan de omfamnade en mer dyster black metal-stil. Bandet innehöll, Pest - känd från black metal-legenderna Gorgoroth. Witchcraft deras andra studioalbum och ursprungligen släppt 1997. CD med artwork som originalversionen.

Norwegian Black Metal classic re-issued! The fourth and final Obtained Enslavement album for the first time on vinyl! Shipping first week of November 2024. This edition limited to 400 copies on GOLD vinyl. Combining their mastery of creating profound Norse black melodies and the always-intense throat-scarring screams of vocalist Pest (Gorgoroth) in seven songs here, this band has created an excellent record. Recorded at Soundsuite Studio by Terje Refsnes (Gehenna, Tristania, Theatre of Tragedy).

Obtained Enslavement: Soulblight [CD]

The 1998 Norwegian Black Metal classic ‘Soulblight’ re-issued! “Soulblight” is a worthy contender for one of the best Black Metal albums of the 90’s! 1997’s “Witchcraft” wass a challenging album to follow up with its cult status as one of the greatest Black Metal releases owing to its complex compositions and intricate orchestration. Yet Obtained Enslavement did exactly that, as “Soulblight” is a very different release but it maintained the quality and musicianship the band made themselves known for with “Witchcraft”. This release discards the openness and mystique of the orchestral arrangements in place of a more guitar and drum-oriented sound, but this works for the much darker and aggressive tone of “Soulblight”. Recorded at Grieghallen Studio by Pytten (a.o. Emperor, Immortal, Burzum, Mayhem, Gorgoroth). Vocals by the legendary Pest (Gorgoroth).
