In 'Mission: Impossible' (1996) Impossible Mission Force agent Ethan Hunt is hunted by his own organisation after an assignment in Prague goes wrong. Going to ground, Hunt enlists the help of two discredited agents to track down the real villain of the piece, a quest that takes him to the heart of CIA operations. In 'Mission: Impossible 2' (2000) Hunt is tasked with tracking down renegade agent Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott) who has stolen the only known supply of Bellophron - the antidote to man-made virus Chimera. Hunt enlists the help of Ambrose's ex-girlfriend, Nyah Nordoff-Hall (Thandie Newton) and, although the pair fall in love, Nyah agrees to return to Ambrose in order to gain information. However, Ambrose now intends to release an epidemic of Chimera in order to sell Bellophron to the highest bidder and when he becomes suspicious of Nyah he decides to use her as a guinea pig. In 'Mission: Impossible 3' (2006) Hunt confronts the toughest villain he's ever faced - Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman), an international weapons and information provider with no remorse and no conscience. Hunt assembles his team - his old friend Luther Strickell (Ving Rhames), transportation expert Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), background operative Zhen (Maggie Q) and fresh recruit Lindsey (Keri Russell) - to travel the globe pursuing Davian and rescue Hunt's love, Julia (Michelle Monaghan). In 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' (2011), when the Kremlin is bombed by terrorists, the IMF is implicated and all its team members instantaneously denied access by the United States government. Hunt and his new team must go rogue to clear the IMF's name but are warned that if any one of them is captured during their mission they will be charged as terrorists plotting to incite global nuclear war. Hunt seeks the help of enigmatic former IMF agent Brandt (Jeremy Renner) and is surprised to learn how much the shadowy figure knows about his past. 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' (2015) follows on from events in the previous instalment where the IMF agents find themselves being targeted by a shadowy organisation of highly-trained assassins known only as the Syndicate. Can Ethan reassemble the now-disbanded IMF team to bring down this rogue organisation before it's too late? Finally, in 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' (2018), when an IMF operation goes badly wrong, Ethan finds himself isolated and unsure of who to trust as he attempts to complete his original mission. In 'Star Wars: Attack of the Clones' (2002) Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) disobeys the strictures of his Jedi training, embarking on a forbidden affair with Padmé (Portman) while his teacher Obi-Wan Kenobi's investigation of assassination attempts against a senator leads him to the distant planet of Kamino and into the middle of a separatist plot which brings the Galactic Republic to the brink of civil war. In 'Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith' (2005), as the Clone Wars rage on, the rift between Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and the Jedi Council widens with young Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker caught in the middle, his allegiances torn. Seduced by promises of power and the temptations of the dark side, he pledges himself to the evil Darth Sidious and the Sith Order, becoming Darth Vader. Together, the Sith Lords set in motion a plot of revenge against the Jedi, in attempt to destroy them all. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi tries to turn his former apprentice back to the light side, leading to a climactic lightsaber battle that will shape the fate of the galaxy forever. In 'Star Wars: A New Hope' (1977), set 19 years after the formation of the Galactic Empire, the Death Star is nearing completion and will soon be capable of destroying planets. When Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), leader of the Rebel Alliance, discovers the Empire's plans, she is captured and taken to the Death Star. Meanwhile, farm boy Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) dreams of becoming a pilot. On his travels he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alex Guinness) who vows to teach Luke how to be a Jedi. When they discover that the princess has been kidnapped, they team up with smuggler Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Wookie Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and droids C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) in a bid to rescue her and ultimately aid the rebellion. In 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' (1980) the Rebel Alliance flees the power of Darth Vader (Dave Prowse/voice of James Earl Jones) and finds refuge on the ice planet Hoth, but their base does not stay safe for long. In 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi' (1983) the Rebel Alliance continue to battle the evil Galactic Empire, as the ruthless Palpatine sets plans in motion to build a second Death Star with the purpose of wiping out the Rebels. In 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' (2015) Han Solo and Princess Leia are joined by scavenger Rey (Daisy Ridley), former stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega) and X-wing pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) as they face powerful forces from the dark side in the form of First Order commander Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his master Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis). In 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' (2017) the Resistance continues to be relentlessly pursued by the First Order following the destruction of Starkiller Base, leading Rey to seek out Jedi Master Luke Skywalker for help and guidance. Finally, in 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' (2019) an evil force has reawakened, and the fractured Resistance unites to make a final stand in their battle with the First Order. Finally, in 'Star Trek Beyond' (2016), after overcoming doubts about his continued role in Starfleet, Kirk leads the crew of the Enterprise as they continue to explore the darkest reaches of space as part of their five-year mission. Upon arriving for a routine stop at a remote Federation planet, the Enterprise is subjected to a devastating surprise attack by swarms of mysterious alien vessels. Overrun and with all systems failing, the crew have no option but to abandon ship, leaving them stranded on the surface with limited supplies and no way of sending for help.
