When the well-read and knowledgeable bachelor Seligman (Skarsgård) finds a beaten and bruised young woman in an alleyway, he takes her home to his flat to tend to her injuries. The woman introduces herself as Joe (Gainsbourg), a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, whose carefree and hedonistic lifestyle has led to her situation. Seligman presses Joe to tell her story and she proceeds to recount her experiences, from her childhood up to the present, where sex has been the most important thing in her life. Focusing in particular on the austere and often brutal environment of the village school, the film not only exposes the cruelty and hypocrisy of adults towards children but offers an insight into the undercurrents of patriarchy and repression that went on to shape 20th-century Germany. As the outbreak of war draws near, a series of violent and unexplained events shake the small community to its core. In true Haneke style, the film is less concerned with providing a definitive answer to 'whodunnit' than with examining the unhealthy processes that contribute to a sick, disenfranchised society.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>

When college student Gabita (Laura Vasiliu) falls pregnant, her kind-hearted friend, Otilia (Anamaria Marinca), helps her to get an illegal abortion from the shady Mr. Bebe (Vlad Ivanov) in a hotel. The film follows Otilia's attempts to help her friend, despite the terrible obstacles in her path and the fact that Gabita hasn't been totally honest with her.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Giovanna Mezzogiorno stars as Ida, a young beautician who falls in love with the charismatic rising political leader and newspaper publisher Benito Mussolini (Filippo Timi). After marrying him and bearing him a son (also called Benito), she is later discarded like a minor pawn in Il Duce's megalomaniacal path of triumph. After Mussolini finds a new wife, Rachele Guidi (Michela Cescon), he has Ida locked up and all records of both the marriage and his son erased.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Played out in two acts, the film opens with the wedding of Justine (Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård): a sumptuous affair paid for by Justine's Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and her husband John (Kiefer Sutherland). However, when Justine notices a strange star in the sky, she starts behaving oddly and the wedding is ruined. The film's second act follows Justine, now extremely weak and ill, after she goes to live with her sister. As Claire and John struggle to deal with Justine's condition, astronomy buff Claire becomes increasingly concerned about a large blue planet that is threatening to collide with the earth.
