Lookin' For Trouble, The Dead Daisies' first full-length blues album, was imagined in March 2024 during sessions for their upcoming rock album, Light 'Em Up. After recording at Sienna Studios in Nashville, the band moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to complete the album at the iconic FAME Studios. The famous sign above the entryway reads: "Through these doors walk the finest Musicians, Songwriters, Artists, and Producers in the World." This is as true today as it was in 1961. Since it first opened its doors, FAME has welcomed a literal who's who of music royalty with legends like Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and Etta James recording their classic hits there. Stepping into the same space the band - John Corabi, David Lowy, Doug Aldrich, Michael Devin, and drummer Sarah Tomek found themselves drawn into the deep musical legacy of the blues. After their rock sessions wrapped each night, they started jamming on blues classics for fun. Producer Marti Frederiksen quickly recognised the magic happening and pressed record. What started as impromptu late-night sessions evolved into Lookin' For Trouble, an album that crackles with the raw energy and rebellious spirit that made blues the foundation of rock 'n' roll.

Svart Tulpan är en popgrupp bildad i Bagarmossen 2023 som gör lättlyssnad, grubblande neoklassisk pop på svenska. Med sitt nerviga, men samtidigt trygga och organiska sound - någon kallade det "indie yacht rock" - kombinerar de starka melodier med vemodiga texter. Bakom bandet står sångaren/gitarristen Anders Ericsson (Lustans Lakejer; tidigare ikoniska Ubangi med Orup/Cia Berg; Ratata m. fl.). Han har jämförts med såväl "...en ung Thåström" som Markus Krunegård.<br/><br/>Svart Tulpans debutsingel "Nu när vi ändå talar om döden" utsågs av Zero Music Magazine till en av 2024 års bästa låtar och har legat på GAFFAs Alternative/Indie-lista sedan releasen i augusti 2024. Bland bandets fans finns flera tungviktare inom svensk pop, bl. a. Mauro Scocco och Noice, som har bidragit med både remixar och heja-rop. Pelle Lidell (f.d. Mig veterligen finns det ingen annan pop på svenska som låter som Svart Tulpan."<br/><br/>Svart Tulpan har på kort tid blivit en snackis som har byggt upp en snabbväxande fanbase på Spotify och sociala medier. De har hunnit med ett par livespelningar (bl. a. på Kollektivet Livet Bar & Scen i Stockholm) och radio. Det självbetitlade debutalbumet innehåller de tidigare singlarna samt sex ytterligare spår.

Mer än någonsin en träffsäker verklighetsskildrare i brytpunkten mellan country och soul - David Ritschard återvänder med albumet "Blåbärskungen". På sitt nya album visar David Ritschard att steget från brobrännare till blåbärskung inte är särskilt långt. Utan att förlora i karaktäristik eller omisskännlig swagger vidgar Gröna linjens egen George Jones de musikaliska ramarna och släpper lyssnaren ännu närmare inpå sig i låtar som pendlar mellan personliga Sverige-skildringar, gripande människoöden och träffsäkra vardagsscener ur verkligheten - bland annat i form av en Frida Hyvönen-duett.

Strike Up The Band is Little Feat&#039;s triumph return to rock n roll with plenty of swampy southern soul with Bill Payne (keys/vocals0, Scott Sharrard (guitar/vocals), Tony Leone (drums/vocals), Fred Tackett (guitar), Kenny Gradney (bass), and Sam Clayton (percussion/vocals). It&#039;s their first album of new material in over 13 years with songs written by Payne and Tacket as well as Feat&#039;s newest members Sharrrard and Leone. The album was produced by the multi Grammy Award winner, Vance Powell (Phish, Chris Stapleton, Jack White) and Bill Payne. The song "Bluegrass Pines" features speacial guest Molly Tuttle and Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, and was written by Payne and the Grateful Dead lyricst Robert Hunter, and the title track features Larkin Poe on guest vocals.

Marsfolket formed a kind of Swedish supergroup with six of the more vital musicians who were picked from six different bands: Claes af Geijerstam (Ola & The Janglers), Bj&ouml;rn Skifs (Slam Creepers), Janne Schaffer (Sleepstones), Bj&ouml;rn Linder (Blond/Palmes), Bosse H&auml;ggstr&ouml;m (Made in Sweden) and Ola Brunkert (Sciences Beverage). The formation took place in March 1971, and for the sake of simplicity they called themselves the Martians. (Marsfolket in Swedish) With the help of manager Thomas Johansson a tour of Sweden was carried out in March and April 1971, and this is the conclusion of that tour which is now available on LP. The entire 54-year wait is over and the time has finally come for the whole the world to experience what the Martians created during one month in the spring of 1971. 5 of the 6 members have worked/toured with a band called ABBA....

It's a complicated record, but it's also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them.
