The Goonies - Dödskallegänget är kultfilmen som väcker starka nostalgikänslor hos barnet inom oss än idag, 40 år efter premiär.<br/><br/>Bröderna Mikey (Sean Astin) och Brandon (Josh Brolin) med familj och vänner stortrivs i den lilla staden. Han hade just regisserat "Jakten på den försvunna skatten" (1981) och den övernaturliga familjefilmen "E.T." (1982), när idén föddes till en äventyrsfilm med barn i huvudrollerna. En storslagen skattjakt som skulle utspelas i deras egen småstad snarare än på exotiska platser, men laddat med lika mycket spänning och dödliga fällor som Indiana Jones vanligtvis får hantera.<br/><br/>Spielberg lämnade över idén till Chris Columbus, en ung men ambitiös manusförfattare i början av sin karriär.
