Their dreams are haunted by the hideously scarred former child murderer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) who, it soon transpires, has the power to kill them in their sleep. Freddy is out to exact his revenge on the children of those who burned him alive in retribution for his crimes, and the only way to avoid his reprisals is to avoid sleep - but Nancy knows that she can't stay awake for ever. The sequel 'Freddy's Revenge' is set five years after the original. The Walsh family have now moved into the house formerly owned by the Thompsons, and it is not long before teenage son Jesse (Mark Patton) is having bad dreams. He and girlfriend Lisa attempt to work out what is happening to him, but before long Jesse becomes convinced that Freddy has taken over his body in order to continue his murderous rampage. The second sequel, 'Dream Warriors', features the return of Nancy from the first film, now a psychiatric doctor. She teams up with Dr Neil Goldman (Craig Wasson) when a group of teenagers at his hospital begin to suffer a shared nightmare, and soon realises that Freddy has returned to continue wreaking his revenge on the descendants of those who killed him. By the fourth film, 'The Dream Master', Freddy has killed off all the children of those who originally burnt him to death. Now he's starting to kill their teenage friends. Luckily, Alice Johnson (Lisa Wilcox), one of the endangered kids, has the special ability to bring others into her dreams. She is the Dream Master, and therefore the only one who can stop the razor-fingered prankster from wreaking more of his murderous havoc. In 'The Dream Child', Alice is expecting a baby. Unfortunately for her, the meddlesome Freddy finds out about this and begins to control the foetus's dreams, hoping that the birth will be his means of returning to the land of the living. So the Dream Master sets to work, taking the battle to Krueger one final time. In 'Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare', having wiped out all the children in his home town, dreamstalking psychokiller Freddy decides it is time to head for pastures new. Luckily for him, he happens across a home for troubled teens and is soon indulging his unspeakable appetites once again. This was originally intended to be the final instalment in the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' series, but director Wes Craven was unable to resist bringing Freddy back one more time in his 1994 'Wes Craven's New Nightmare', a coda to the series in which Craven and his producer play themselves, persuading the now grown-up Heather Langenkamp (of the first film) to return to Elm Street one more time. Collection of four films directed by Alfred Hitchcock. In 'Rear Window' (1954), after breaking his leg during a shoot, photo-journalist L.B. 'Jeff' Jeffries (James Stewart) is forced to spend a humid summer recuperating in his Greenwich Village apartment.<br/><br/>The wheelchair-bound Jeff whiles away his time observing his neighbours through a telephoto lens, bestowing them with nicknames and growing familiar with their daily routines. However, his society girlfriend Lisa (Grace Kelly) is exasperated and then alarmed when Jeff becomes obsessed with the notion that Lars Thorwald (Raymond Burr), who lives in the apartment opposite, has murdered his wife. In 'Psycho' (1960) Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) goes on the run after stealing $40,000 from one of her employer's clients.<br/><br/>Taking a wrong turn in a storm, she arrives at the isolated Bates Motel, run by the twitchy Norman (Anthony Perkins), who is constantly at the beck and call of his unseen mother. When Marion takes a shower in her room, a sudden knife attack brings her life to an end. Upon discovering her body Norman covers up the murder, but it is not long before Marion's sister and boyfriend are attempting to track her down.<br/><br/>In 'Vertigo' (1958), when his fear of heights indirectly causes the death of a colleague, San Francisco cop Scottie (Stewart) retires. He is subsequently hired by magnate Gavin Elster (Tom Helmore) to follow his wife, Madeleine (Kim Novak), as Elster says he fears for her life. Scottie becomes bewitched by Madeleine, falling in love with her after saving her from a suicide attempt.<br/><br/>However, when Scottie's vertigo prevents him saving Madeleine from a second attempt to kill herself, he becomes obsessed with recreating the dead woman's image. Finally, in 'The Birds' (1963), spoiled socialite Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) pursues lawyer Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) to his Bodega Bay home after they meet in a bird shop. Melanie sails across the bay to deliver the gift of a lovebird to Mitch's young sister, only to be attacked by a gull on her way back.<br/><br/>Soon random attacks on humans are taking place all over Bodega, as birds of all varieties mass in their thousands overhead.

The first in Hammer studios' long line of horror films. Awaiting execution in his dingy cell, Baron Victor Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) confides his story to a priest. Orphaned as a child, Frankenstein worked closely with his tutor, Paul Krempe (Robert Urquhart), experimenting on animals until they successfully revived a dead puppy. Tidlös medeltid. Tyrannen Cromwell engagerar en häxa för att väcka den onde häxmästaren Xusia från sin tusenåriga sömn. Han räddar den vackra Alana från några druckna soldater och hon ber honom att befria sin bror Mikah, som sitter i Cromwells fängelsehåla, och ansluta sig till rebellerna. Talon går med på detta för en natt med Alana. Cromwell intrigerar för att lägga under sig ytterligare fyra kungadömen och inviterar deras ledare till en stor fest. Talon lyckas befria Mikah och de andra rebellerna, men åker själv fast och spikas upp i bankettsalen. Under festligheterna är det meningen att Cromwell ska gifta sig med Alana. Den rasande Talon lyckas befria sig själv samtidigt som Mikah, fångarna och legosoldaterna invaderar salen. Under striden lyckas Alana, Cromwell och dennes närmaste rådgivare Machelli fly genom en tunnellabyrint. Cromwell skiljs från de andra. Det visar sig att Machelli egentligen är Xusia, vilken Cromwell försökt att döda, och som nu ruvar på hämnd. Talon och Cromwell dyker upp och den förre dödar Xusia med sitt specialsvärd.
