Reid, och han har fått tillgång till Michael Jacksons musikaliska arkiv i samarbete med Jackson's Estate. <br/>L.A. Reid har fått möjlighet att ta del av Michael Jacksons låtskatt och inspelningar från fyra decennier. Efter noggrant arbete har Reid valt ut åtta låtar som han med varm hand lämnat vidare till albumets producenter. Dessa producenter har bevarat Michael Jacksons sound och integritet samtidigt som de har adderat ett modernt sound till musiken. L.A. Reid kallar arbetet för "contemporizing". Huvudproducent för albumet är Timbaland. Reid gav honom uppdraget för att han besitter kraften, djupet och förståelsen att kunna förvalta Jacksons låtskatt.
