Parlophone Records is proud to announce the first ever Dolby Atmos spatial audio version of DAVID BOWIE's THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS is making its debut in Dolby Atmos spatial audio. <br/> <br/>The Blu-Ray audio disc of THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS features four iterations of this timeless album: 2024 Dolby Atmos mix, 2024 Stereo Mix (96 khz / 24-bit pcm), original 1972 Stereo Mix - 2012 remaster (192 khz / 24-bit pcm), original 1972 Stereo Mix - 2012 remaster (48 khz / 24-bit pcm). The Atmos version of the album was mixed by Emre Ramazanoglu and Ken Scott at RAK Studios, London. <br/> <br/>Of this new Dolby Atmos mix the album's co-producer, Ken Scott says "You're in there with the act, with David. He was so theatrical I think being able to put him into an immersive place makes this a really good choice for an Atmos mix. My whole philosophy with this has been to make it more like a live experience. And I've even got him moving about the stage a little towards the end, the way he would have in real life. Hopefully it just feels as if you're in the theatre with this amazing show going on."

Blu-Ray disc featuring Atmos mix, Binaural mix and Hi-Res 96/24 stereo.<br/><br/>On his new album, BEFORE AND AFTER, Young has approached a totally eclectic collection of mostly obscure songs like a painter with a new palette. Picking from a vast array of his originals, Young chooses favorites from his playbook like a trip into his music history and performs them mostly alone, taking a solo acoustic journey to a new place. Each of the songs blend and create one continuous flow, clocking in at a 48-minute pure and intimate listening experience. Produced by Lou Adler and Neil Young and mixed by Young and Niko Bolas, aka The Volume Dealers, this is unlike any other album he has released to date.<br/> <br/>Young describes BEFORE AND AFTER succinctly: "The feeling is captured, not in pieces, but as a whole piece - designed to be listened to that way. This music presentation defies shuffling, digital organization, separation. Only for listening. That says it all".<br/> <br/>New versions of the songs themselves seamlessly move and morph with mesmerizing clarity, beginning with his earliest Buffalo Springfield appearance, "Burned," to the recent "Don't Forget Love" (from 2021's BARN) and including the previously unreleased song "If You Got Love".

Blu-ray which includes a 5.1 mix and never before released personal images and videos from around this period of his life.<br/><br/>Remixed by Steven Wilson, this reissue comes with brand new artwork that was commissioned and art-directed by Gala and Jamie Wright, Richard's children and managers of his estate. As per the original release, the bi-fold sleeve folds out to extend the image and features the same vibrant colour palette. This time, the unidentified person in bright red shorts is swimming within deep blue waters of the sea rather than a pool and the image expands out to reveal a boat slightly out of their reach, referencing the nautical theme of the record. The image was taken by Costas Spathis, a photographer living and working in Greece, which is where the album was written and the graphic design is by Carl Glover. The original artwork was designed by Storm Thorgerson and photographed by Audrey Powell for Hipgnosis and features in the vinyl booklet.<br/><br/>Upon rediscovering this record, it becomes hugely apparent how much of Richard's DNA runs through Pink Floyd. His distinct rhythm patterns, song structure and style of play exudes throughout, shining a light on his unique talent and influence on modern music.<br/>When originally released, post Pink Floyd's 'Animals' (1977) and shortly before 'The Wall' (1979), 'Wet Dream' was largely under-appreciated. Steven Wilson's mix gives new life to the record demonstrating Wright's brilliance. He wrote and produced the whole album himself and it was one of only three albums released outside of Pink Floyd- 'Broken China', his second solo album from 1996 and 'Identity', released in 1983 under the guise of Zee, a duet with Dave Harris from Fashion.
