Script For A Jester's Tear was Marillion debut studio album originally released on 13 March 1983, reaching number seven in the UK Albums Chart (eventually achieving a platinum status) and produced the two Top 40 singles He Knows You Know (35) and Garden Party (16).<br/><br/>Formed in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, in 1979, the band went through several personnel changes before recording their debut album. Having attracted attention with a three-track session for the Friday Rock Show they were signed by EMI Records releasing their first single, Market Square Heroes, in October 1982 with their debut album Script For A Jester's Tear following a few months later after their second single He Knows You Know.<br/><br/>The CD version will have the same audio across 4CD plus a bonus Blu-Ray featuring "The Script Interviews" a wonderful documentary covering the formation of the band through to the release of Script For A Jester's Tear in their own words.

David Coverdale was a relatively unknown 21-year-old singer-songwriter when he joined Deep Purple in 1973. He went on to record three classic albums alongside the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers before embarking on his musical journey a few years later with his band, Whitesnake. <br/><br/>Coverdale is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his Deep Purple debut this year with a special version of The Purple Album, Whitesnake's tribute to his three-year tenure with the legendary group. This newly remixed, remastered, and expanded edition of the 2015 album features previously unreleased recordings, including the very demo that secured Coverdale's spot with Deep Purple.<br/><br/>The 2-CD/Blu-ray version of THE PURPLE ALBUM: SPECIAL GOLD EDITION goes beyond the original with the addition of live recordings and concert videos from The Purple Tour ("The Gypsy," "Mistreated"), official music videos ("Sail Away," "You Fool No One"), and an assortment of previously unreleased material, including six alternate mixes of album tracks. The Blu-ray also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the album's making and a song-by-song commentary by Coverdale.

All tracks have been newly remixed for this collection, which features the band's classics Still Of The Night, Here I Go Again, Is This Love and Slow An' Easy.<br/><br/>Product overview (by David Coverdale):<br/>On this Greatest Hits revisit and remix, Derek Sherinian has added scorching Hammond organ to "Here I Go Again," "The Deeper The Love," "Now You're Gone," "Give Me All You Love," "Fool For Your Loving," "Judgment Day," "You're Gonna Break My Heart Again," "Crying In The Rain," "Sweet Lady Luck" ... Yep, we kept him busy, for sure, and now, at last we have Adrian on "The Deeper The Love" and "Judgement Day," which is a joy for me, as you can imagine ... <br/><br/>We also dug deep in some of the 24-track tapes and found more of John Sykes' guitars on "Give Me All Your Love" rhythm tracks ... and a new solo on "Slide It In," for Gawd Sake! <br/><br/>On a lot of the 'epics,' we revisited the strings to make them even more orchestral ...
