The film follows reckless FBI agent Richard Chance (Petersen) as he hunts elusive counterfeiter Eric Masters (Dafoe). Dragging new recruit John Vulkovich (John Pankow) with him, the pair set out on a dangerous pursuit through the murky backstreets of Los Angeles.

Och som alla vet så är ju det här den lugna biten av denna fantastiska film. Detta är en underhållande och mycket våldsam film som nog ingen har missat helt.

I den idylliska staden Brixton, i hjärtat av Georgia, försörjer sig den unga änkan Annie Wilson som traktens spåkvinna. Hennes synska gåva gör att hon med hjälp av tarotkort får föraningar om framtiden. När fästmön till skolans rektor plötsligt försvinner, befarar den lokala polisen att ett brott har begåtts. Efter fruktlösa försök att finna flickan, kontaktar polisen motvilligt till slut Annie. Hon får snart fasansfulla syner där hon ser den döda flickans kropp. Men ju mer Annie dras in i mordutredningen, desto hotfullare och mer skräckinjagande blir hennes syner. Sam Peckingpahs första storbudgetfilm var också den första som togs bort och släpptes i en förkortad version. Men nu, 40 år senare, har det mesta av det saknade materialet lokaliserats och satts in med hela soundtracket remixat i 5.1 Dolby Digital och helt ny filmmusik har komponerats. De nya scenerna fullbordar den nervkittlande skildringen av en förtryckande unionsofficer som leder en trupp med rebellfångar, före detta slavar och kriminella till Mexiko för att jaga ett band med mördande Apacher, vilket reser frågan: vem är största hotet?<br/><br/>Charlton Heston plays the lead role in this Sam Peckinpah Western. As Major Dundee he joins forces with his sworn enemy (Richard Harris) to form a small, ruthless army who are to go on a mission of revenge after an Apache massacre of US Cavalry troops. They follow a trail into Mexico where they battle the murderous Indians as well as the French Army.
