After a year of creativity and musical exploration, the newly formed band Östersjöar is ready to release their debut vinyl, simply titled Östersjöar. The record is released on Coop Records Gotland and captures the band’s unique sound, described as a train in motion - driven, rhythmic, and infused with krautrock influences. Musically, Östersjöar evokes a fusion of Joy Division’s cold, pulsing rhythms and Hawkwind’s expansive sonic landscapes, with each track offering an atmospheric and hypnotic journey. The album was recorded live during a December evening at the legendary Sandkvie Studio, where the band - together with producer Mattias Bärjed (guitarist in The Soundtrack of Our Lives and Refused), along with Mikael Lyander and Samuel Wizèn at the mixing desk - captured the true DNA of the group in the moment.

Rock’n’rollens motorer går på högvarv och publiken förvildas i dans. Det går inte att värja sig mot Aphusets rotmosrock – man blir en del av rallyt. Nu släpper äntligen Aphuset sin nya skiva Ladda mera kol, och fortsätter därmed ösa ur det aldrig sinande karet av rotmosrock. Den nya skivan är hård och rå, låter som ett hot, bollar och rullar fram. Musiken är som AC/DC, eller Creedence på tjack, och texterna är som ett hopkok av Eddie Meduza och Nationalteatern.

Ron Asheton Boys Club is a debut album from Gothenburg and almost a declaration of what Coop Records stands for, it's not psych but definetely psychedelic, it's not kraut but most certainly a monotonous pulsating repeating rhythm. You can compare it to a strange lovely mixture of Spacemen 3, Anna Järvinen and Can/Autobahn-Radioactivity-era Kraftwerk. The Cover is in itself a piece of art-hand screened 3 coloured and printed by Longest Night. A very limited release, only 200 copies made.
