AC/DC, the legendary multi-million-selling band, played their very first show on the 31st of December 1973 at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. Now, 50 years later, AC/DC has thrilled their millions of fans by announcing the 'POWER UP' European tour for Summer 2024.<br/><br/>To honour AC/DC's 50-year reign as the world's greatest rock and roll band, Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings are proud to announce that the band's catalog will be available as gold colored vinyl LPs. 140 gram vinyl.<br/><br/>"There's a line in 'Ordinary Man' where I sing, 'I don't want to die an ordinary man,' which I don't think I will," säger Ozzy och skrattar. "Ordinary Man" är första albumsläppet på nära tio år.<br/><br/>Ozzy om inspelningen av albumet:<br/>"It was a lot of fun to do though it's a lot different from my other albums,". "We recorded it quickly, which I haven't done since the first Black Sabbath album. This made it a different process, which I actually enjoyed."<br/><br/>Albumet är inspelat i Los Angeles med albumets producent Andrew Watts på gitarr, Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses) på bas och Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) på trummor. Förutom nämnda musiker gästas albumet också av Ozzys vänner Elton John, Post Malone och Tom Morello.<br/><br/>"It all just came together," berättar Ozzy om gästerna på albumet. "Slash is a dear friend of mine, as is Elton. When I was writing 'Ordinary Man,' it reminded me of an old Elton song and I said to Sharon, 'I wonder if he would sing on it?' We asked and lo and behold, he agreed and sings and play piano on the song."

Issued in 2000, STIFF UPPER LIP saw the band reunite with Angus and Malcolm's older brother George Young on production duties for the first time in over a decade. The album cover features a bronze statue of Angus Young.
