Live 1978 CD
One of the best performances from this great Canadian guitar virtuoso Frank Marino and his trio The Mahogany Rush were captured 'LIVE' on this album in the Southern U.S.A., 1977. His talent shows on this album that he's more than a Jimi Hendrix adept, that he has his very own signature (Gibson SG) guitar sound and does not need to be compared to anybody. That Marino also possesses the art of songwriting is what he proves on the tracks "The Answer", "Dragonfly" and "Electric Reflections Of War". The band is equally captivating on sweaty performances of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze," Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode," and Muddy Waters' "I'm a King Bee." All guaranteed 100% pure!

Suicide 1971 CD
'Suicide' was the second album by England's Stray, following hot on the heels of the eponymous debut from earlier the same year. They became one of the most consistent and popular bands of the 70s, and trod a fine line between hard rock, prog, and harmony-driven boogie. Their powerful playing, hook-laden melodies and accomplished harmonies appealing equally to all three audiences. You may call it a cocktail of King Crimson and Black Sabbath with some Grand Funk. There is some fantastic jamming hard rock on this album and some great crunching lead guitar. Stray were a very underrated band with quality songs and superb guitar work.

In a sentimental mood 1989 CD
'In a Sentimental Mood' is the twelfth album by New Orleans singer and pianist Dr. John. There are some fine musical performances like "Accentuate The Positive" with a notable edgy and cool sax solo by Joel Peskin. There are some true "oldies but goodies", songs by Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington and Cole Porter. Dr. John has evolved into a vocal stylist and piano virtuoso, which makes the idea of doing this sort of material appealing. And he does it well, turning out a leisurely duet with Rickie Lee Jones on "Makin' Whoopee" that won a Grammy (Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Duo or Group), and giving sad feeling to "My Buddy" featuring Marcus Miller (bass) and Jeff Porcaro (drums).

Avalanche 1974 CD
'Avalanche' is somewhat of an underrated gem. Leslie West's mean guitar tone prevails throughout the majority of the album, leading off with a cover of "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On", while adding a loose remake of "Satisfaction". And the free-wheelin' "You Better Believe It" serves as a proto stoner guitar workout, as the big man commands with a furious six string assault of distortion and fuzz, and cowbell fills augment the nearly-six-minute jamming cut. "Sister Justice" rolls behind a cool riff and a full-on '70s groove. With guitarist David Perry, Corky Laing on the drums and Felix Pappalardi on keys & bass guitar this is definitely the most consistent and hardest rocking Mountain album in their discography.

Fuel for Your Soul CD
One thing that is interesting is that Jagged Edge, like Fates Warning did, they blends clean guitars and overdriven metal guitars and generate a sort of melancholic feel, but without ever entering into progressive territory. Jagged Edge is straight hard rock and commercial metal, and has more in common overall with the likes of Def Leppard. 'Fuel For Your Soul' starts strong with "Liar" and buried at the very end of the twelve song recording with "Burnin' Up", a main mover of the album. Vocalist Matt Alphonzetti is thrust in the spotlight throughout this set of original tracks, showing off his killer pipes. The band toured with Ozzy Osbourne in the UK during June and July 1988 to promote this album, one of the better glam/pop metal albums of that era.
