180 gram röd vinyl.<br/><br/>The Sleep Eazys är ett instrumentalt och kritikerrosat sidoprojekt med Joe Bonamassa.<br/><br/>Plattan avviker en del från vad vi är vana att höra från Bonamassa och syftet är att hylla Danny Gatton som har fungerat som mentor och har influerat honom enormt. Men den inkluderar även favoriter från artister som Frank Sinatra, Tony Joe White, King Curtis med flera. Bonamassa berättar entusiastiskt om projektet "Ärligt talat har jag alltid velat göra en sån här platta. Men, och nu är jag än mer ärlig, så är jag inte säker på om jag tidigare varit uppgiften mogen varken musikaliskt eller professionellt. Tidpunkten var äntligen inne för att kunna hylla min mentor, vän och en av de bästa gitarristerna någonsin: den store Danny Gatton. Tiden då vi hängde och jammade med Danny då jag var barn formade mitt spel och musikval som ingen annan."<br/><br/>De flesta av musikerna består av Joes turnémusiker men the Sleep Eazys inkluderar även slagverkaren Anton Fig (känd från husbandet på Late Night with David Letterman), Musician's Hall of Fame-medlemmen Michael Rhodes på bas, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-medlemmen Reese Wynans på klaviaturer, Lee Thornburg på trumpet, Paulie Cerra på saxofon samt sångersorna Jade MacRae och Juanita Tippins. På gitarr, naturligtvis, Joe Bonamassa själv. Som gäster hör vi munspelaren Jimmy Hall och multiinstrumentalisten John Jorgenson. 180 gram heavyweight 2LP on transparent vinyl. <br/><br/>With A Little Help From My Friends captures one special night on November 21, 2020 when Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams and David Paich appeared with the new line-up of Toto for a global event originating from Los Angeles, CA. Joining Lukather, Williams and Paich for this next chapter in their indelible history are new band members bassist John Pierce (Huey Lewis and The News), drummer Robert "Sput" Searight (Ghost-Note / Snarky Puppy), and keyboardist / background vocalist Steve Maggiora (Robert Jon & The Wreck). Keyboardist Dominique "Xavier" Taplin (Prince, Ghost-Note) and multi-instrumentalist / vocalist Warren Ham (Ringo Starr) segued over continuing their tenure in the ensemble. This marks the fifteenth incarnation of the Toto line-up in consideration of band members or sidemen who joined or exited.<br/><br/>The track listing features "Till The End," "Hold The Line," "Pamela," "Kingdom of Desire," "White Sister," "You Are The Flower," "I Won't Hold You Back," "Stop Loving You," "Home Of The Brave," "Rosanna," and "With A Little Help From My Friends." In the DVD and Blu-ray releases, a documentary is featured alongside the performance, featuring thoughts from all members of the band that appeared that evening. <br/> <br/>Steve Lukather a.k.a. Luke shares, "When the music is performed by great musicians it honors TOTO. The documentary featured on the DVD and Blu-ray offers great insights in to our thoughts looking forward. David, who stands with us, alongside Joe and myself, desire to keep this music alive. And Paich could pop in any time for a show as a special surprise. When it came to plan this specific set list, we picked an eclectic group of songs for this one night only show.

Over the course of five decades Steve Lukather has placed an indelible stamp on pop culture. Alongside his tenure as the only member of Toto to never take a hiatus from the band, he has performed on thousands of albums as a session musician. He continues to be Toto's band leader, a member of Ringo's All-Starr Band, and a solo artist performing with multiple ensembles.<br/><br/>Steve Lukather's solo album "I Found The Sun Again" was co-produced by Ken Freeman, who also both engineered and mixed. The players feature many dignitaries that have been in Luke's life for decades. Amongst those are drummer Greg Bissonette, keyboardist Jeff Babko, and bassists Jorgen Carlsson and John Pierce. Life-long friend and Toto band-mate David Paich performs piano and organ across the album, while Joseph Williams sang on multiple tracks alongside writing string and horn arrangements and tracking keys on "Run To Me." Both Paich and Williams co-wrote that specific composition, while friend and band leader of the All-Starrs, Ringo Starr makes a special appearance on the recording and in the video.<br/><br/>"I Found The Sun Again" features five new original compositions, and three covers personally selected by Luke. Those are Traffic's "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys," Joe Walsh's "Welcome To The Club," and Robin Trower's "Bridge of Sighs." Lukather offers in the liner notes, "ALL these tracks were cut LIVE - no clix - no fix - No rehearsal - one run thru - and record and the whole record was take 2."
