Detta är Avenged Sevenfold's femte studioalbum, producent är Mike Elizondo, som tidigare har jobbat med Dr Dre och Eminem, mixningen sköttes av Andy Wallace. I slutet av 2009 gick tragiskt nog trummisen "The Rev" hastigt bort, med på albumet finns istället Mike Portnoy, som vanligen spelar trummor i bandet Dream Theater. <br/><br/>Avenged Sevenfold består av fyra killar från Huntington Beach, Kalifornien. <br/>Matthew Sanders (M.Shadows) sjunger, Brian Haner Jr. (Synyster Gates) på sologitarr och sång, Zachary Baker (Zacky Vengeance) på kompgitarr, och Jonathan Seward (Johnny Christ) på bas. Med sig har de alltså Mike Portnoy på trummor. <br/> <br/>Avenged Sevenfold blev kända för världen med sin platina säljande City of Evil som släpptes 2005. Albumet innehöll hit-singlen Bat Country och bandet blev snabbt kända för sina spektakulära live-shower. De är det enda bandet som headlinat Vans Warped turné och Ozzfest samtidigt som de låg #1 på MTV's TRL lista!<br/><br/>Året efter City of evil vann de "best new artist" priset! 2007 släpptes deras självbetitlade album som innehåller en rad hits, bland andra Almost easy, Afterlife och Scream, albumet sålde över en miljon över världen. 2008 fångade de sin spektakulära live-show på live cd/dvd:n Diamonds in the rough.
