Alois Nebel (Krobot), a lonely train dispatcher, sees the ghosts which haunt him and his country's past in the fog. Consumed by these visions he ends up in a sanatorium where he meets 'The Mute' (Roden) - a man who refuses to speak, with the only clue to his background being an old photograph. When Alois returns from his stint in the sanatorium, his country has changed once more. Peony (Petr Meissel) indulges his passion for pornography and poultry by constructing a chicken suit (complete with a papier-mâché mask made from porn magazines), which he then uses to taunt and crush an effigy of his neighbour, Mrs. Loubalova (Gabriela Wilhelmová). She in turn is fond of secretly whipping and drowning a straw effigy of her fellow tenant. Meanwhile, Peony's postwoman Mrs. Malkova (Barbora Hrzánová), satisfies herself by rolling pieces of bread into balls to ingest wherever she can. Finally, the local newsagent Kula (Jirí Lábus), who provides Peony with his porn, has invented an autoerotic device to enable him to reach untold heights while watching Mrs. Beltinska (Anna Wetlinská), the nightly news anchor, whose husband (Pavel Novy) likes nothing better of an evening than to construct strange devices and scrub himself with a nail-augmented rolling pin.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Inspired by the works of de Sade and Edgar Allen Poe, the story follows Jean (Pavel Liska), who is plagued by nightmares in which he is dragged off to a madhouse. After attending the funeral of his mother, he is invited to dine with a man who claims to be the Marquis de Sade (Jan Tríska), whereupon he soon witnesses various acts of debauchery. As he attempts to leave, Jean is persuaded by de Sade that he can conquer his fears by attending a nearby lunatic asylum with him. But as he enters the madhouse, he quickly realises that things are not what they seem...<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
