To become and remain a TOPP-Leader, there are four areas that you need to master. These four areas are Thought Leadership, Organizational Leadership, People Leadership and Personal Leadership and they are all described here.  You find the theories and models behind each area and also what to do when you want to be a  TOPP-Leader.<br/><br/>As a foundation across these four areas, you find the importance of being a strong communicative leader in everything from being able to stand in front of a large audience and convey an inspiring and convincing message to one-on-one discussions, coaching and feedback.   Throughout my career as a leader for local, global and diverse teams in different industries, I have found some aspects of leadership that have proven to be important and always worked well in my own leadership. <br/><br/>Differences in background, education, gender, age or culture of the team members have never been a problem but rather a strong asset to build upon to deliver fantastic results over and over again. Fundamentally, I have found that people disregarding their culture and background need the same basic things from a leader to want to follow the leader and contribute to delivering the outstanding results that are expected. <br/><br/>Now I want to share my experiences with you, safe in the knowledge that leadership is the most important enabler to deliver positive difference and sustainable results, especially in times of change.   <br/><br/>Victoria Strand has 25 years theoretical and practical experience from leading large and small organizations all over the world in different industries. She has also worked as an executive coach for many leaders on different levels and stages of their careers.

This book describes a way of leading and organising a company which is radically different from that practised by most companies. The starting point is that there are certain timeless human demands that should be met by any organisation. This will lead to organisations that are radically decentralised. The fundamental principle of decentralisation was put to the test when Handelsbanken was completely reorganised 33 years ago. The head office was cut down by a third and (among other things) all budgeting and long term planning was abandoned. Since then the external circumstances in which banks have to operate have varied very much. Handelsbanken has, however, always followed the same basic principles in its work and by doing so has been extraordinarily successful. In this book you will find a description of the ideas behind the principles and a detailed account of how such a different organisation functions. Jan Wallander was born in 1920. After his doctors degree in economics he worked as a scientist and became associate professor at the University of Stockholm. He left the university career in 1960 when he became managing director of Sundsvallsbanken, a provincial bank in the northern part of Sweden. Ten years later he was appointed CEO of Handelsbanken. Subsequently he became Chairman of the Board of the bank. He retired from the bank in 1991, when he was made Honorary Chairman. He has been chairman and a member of the boards of many private and Government-owned companies and is still active as author and lectures.

Ten years have passed since the start of the monetary union. The 2009 report of the Economic Policy Group analyses the economic record of the countries that joined at the start and how it has been affected by the common currency and common monetary policy. The areas covered are monetary policy, fiscal policy, financial integration, foreign trade and foreign direct investment. Denmark, Sweden and the UK have chosen not to join the monetary union. The report also compares their economic record to that of the euro countries, and assesses if the record would have been different had the three outsiders joined the monetary union from the start. The authors are professors Harry Flam (chairman), Antonio Fatás, Steinar Holden, Tullio Jappelli, Ilian Mihov, Marco Pagano and Charles Wyplosz.

Leadership is in no way an innate capacity, leaders learn how to lead. This involves constructing leadership through reflection. Reflection takes many different forms. One is to practice being a leader, another is to take courses, read books or why not watch films. Most people have seen more films than read books and in this book a thesis that the role of the cinema in providing work place behavioural norms has in fact been underestimated is launched. Constructing Leadership is the product of a longitudinal research project in which feature films are construed from a leadership perspective. It aims to say something interesting about leadership and also to encourage greater attentiveness to the films we watch. In this book nine films are analysed in terms of what they say about leadership. They are: `Any Given Sunday , `Elizabeth , `Beck The Man With Icons , `Nixon , `The Mozart Brothers , `Life of Brian , `The Godfather and `The Bridge on the River Kwai . Each film raises a number of themes that are analysed on the basis of theories dealing with leadership. Constructing Leadership has been written for leaders and leaders-to-be. It will suit students in higher education. But we hope as well that the book will be read by everyone who, like us, is interested in the essence of leadership.

CSR History and Practice: A Study of Swedish Large-Sclae Entrepreneurship at the Company Level Circa 1940 - 2010

People have gambled for millennia. Public authorities have regulated gambling for just as long. In modern times, Swedish companies that wanted to offer online games needed a foreign licence. Many chose a licence from Malta, with the result that thousands of Swedes moved there to work and run companies. <br/><br/>New gaming legislation was introduced in Sweden in 2019 and companies can now operate under Swedish national regulations. It remains to be seen how this will affect the Swedish gaming industry. What is clear is that the period that has just ended was characterised by innovation and entrepreneurship. Many Swedish companies gained international success although they frequently struggled against the odds in an industry that is often called into question.<br/><br/>In this book, we meet the companies that broke new ground and the people who worked for them and drove the development of the industry.
