In 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' (2021), as he adjusts to life as the host of the alien symbiote Venom, Eddie is granted an exclusive interview with incarcerated serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson). While he attempts to solve a murder case on behalf of Detective Patrick Mulligan (Stephen Graham), Cletus becomes the new host of symbiote Carnage and breaks out of prison to reunite with his former girlfriend Frances Barrison (Naomie Harris). Finally, in 'Venom: The Last Dance' (2024), Eddie and Venom are forced to go on the run when they are hunted by forces from both of their worlds. Knull (Andy Serkis), the creator of the symbiotes, has sent a Xenophage after them, believing they hold the key to freeing him from his imprisonment.
