As John wakes from his latest cycle, he finds his memory starting to fade, a side effect of the hibernation drugs. His colleague Nash (Tomer Capone) declares his doubts about their ship's ability to perform the slingshot manouvre to project them towards Titan and insists that they should instead return to Earth without delay. Leader of the mission Captain Franks (Fishburne) dismisses Nash's concerns and the mission is soon compromised with mutiny on the cards.
