In 'Assassins' (1995) professional hitman Rath (Stallone) decides it's time to call it a day, even though he is still the best around. But as he searches for a way out he discovers that he is now the target of another assassin, Bain (Antonio Banderas), who is determined to be the new number one. The two men are both sent on an assignment to kill intelligence operative Elektra (Julianne Moore). However, Rath decides to flee with Elektra and outwit Bain. In 'The Specialist' (1994) US demolition expert Ray Quick (Stallone) attempts to abort the assassination of a South American drugs baron when he realises innocent children will be killed in the explosion. However, his partner (James Woods) goes ahead with the mission, leaving the duo permanently estranged and Quick psychologically scarred. Years later, a beautiful woman (Sharon Stone) asks Quick to come out of retirement to kill a Cuban drug lord who has murdered her father. Quick initially refuses, but is soon drawn into a plot that brings him in contact with his ex-partner once again. In 'Tango and Cash' (1989) two mismatched cops, one sharp-suited (Stallone), the other a slob (Kurt Russell), are thrown together when they are framed by a big-shot gun-runner (Jack Palance). They are put in prison, duly escape, and then attempt to clear their names whilst trying to track down a massive haul of weapons before they get shipped abroad. In 'Demolition Man' (1993) LA cop John Spartan (Stallone), nicknamed 'Demolition Man' due to his hands-on approach to law enforcement, is condemned to 70 years in the penal freezer after being set up by Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), Public Enemy Number One. Halfway through his sentence, however, both he and Phoenix are catapulted out of captivity, discovering their city has been transformed into a peaceful utopia, under the benevolent rule of mayor Dr Cocteau (Nigel Hawthorne). As a mysteriously pumped-up Phoenix carries on where he had left off 35 years earlier, Spartan teams up with a comparatively feisty cop (Sandra Bullock) to bring him to justice and expose the man who is engineering the whole scenario. In 'Cobra' (1986) a tough detective known as Cobra (Stallone), is assigned to protect a beautiful model (Brigitte Nielsen), the only witness to a series of brutal murders. It transpires that the killings are not the work of one lone psychopath but rather a highly organised army of neo-fascists.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

However, when the terror network THRUSH raises its ugly head again - stealing a nuclear weapon and attempting to hold the world to ransom - Solo and Kuryakin are recalled to use their former skills to foil the plot. 'Predator 2' (1990) is set in Los Angeles in 1997 as a war unfolds between rival drug cartels. As maverick police officer Michael R. Harrigan (Danny Glover) attempts to stop the violence, he realises that there is another force at work killing criminals, police and civilians. When Special Agent Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) and his team arrive, Harrigan discovers that the creature he is facing is an extraterrestrial which hunts humans for sport. As the body count rises, can Harrigan stop the Predator? 'Predators' (2010) follows contract killer Royce (Adrien Brody) as he is abducted by alien creatures and released along with seven other professional killers onto a strange and hostile planet. Battling for survival, the group comes across Noland (Laurence Fishburne), an American commando who has managed to survive on the planet for several years by hiding out in a cave, and discover to their horror that they have been brought there as prey for a new and merciless race of vicious alien predators. Finally, in 'The Predator' (2018), when an accidental signal is emitted to the Predators, they interpret it as a message to come back to Earth and soon begin hunting down any human that gets in their way. A task force of hardened soldiers headed by former Army Ranger Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) and science teacher Casey Bracket (Olivia Munn) set out to take down the monstrous killers before human civilisation as a whole is threatened. In 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' (2011) Will Rodman (James Franco) is a genetic engineer working in present-day San Francisco performing scientific tests on apes in his attempt to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. His first test subject is Caesar (Andy Serkis), the prototype of a new breed of ape with human-like intelligence. But when Caesar breaks free a revolution is triggered and an epic war for supremacy breaks out between humankind and the primates of the world. In 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' (2014) Caesar, now the leader of a growing band of cognisant simians, starts the process towards a truce between the apes and the humans. Many consider the outbreak of war to only be a matter of time however, since the human population has been vastly reduced by a devastating virus and their role as the dominant species on Earth is in question. As the tension increases it may only take a single spark to trigger an explosive war that will pit the humans against the apes in an all-out battle for survival. Finally, in 'War for the Planet of the Apes' (2017), Caesar finds himself and his kind trapped in a war with the humans led by Colonel McCullogh (Woody Harrelson). Although adamant that apes are not savages, when a large number lose their lives at the hands of the humans, Caesar channels his dark side and vows to get revenge for every ape life lost.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

'The Expendables' (2010), directed by Stallone, follows a group of professional killers as they join forces to bring down a South American dictator. With cameo appearances from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, the film also sees Stallone and Schwarzenegger sharing a screen for the first time ever. In 'The Expendables 2' (2012) Mr Church (Willis) reunites the formidable Expendables team, plus new member Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth), for what should be a straightforward job. But when one of their number is murdered by adversary Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme), the team's quest for revenge finds them pitted against an unexpected rival. In 'The Expendables 3' (2014) Barney Ross (Stallone) comes face-to-face with old nemesis Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), with whom he originally formed the group of mercenaries known as the Expendables. However, when Stonebanks turned into a dangerous arms trader, Barney had no choice but to take him out and believed him to be dead - until now. With decades of experience and tricks of the trade to pass on to his protégé, has Harry got the stamina to teach the former petty criminal how to be a super spy? In the sequel, 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' (2017), after the Kingsman headquarters in London are destroyed in an explosion, they discover that the organisation behind the attack is the notorious Golden Circle, led by criminal mastermind Poppy (Julianne Moore). As they prepare to travel to America to confront and take down Poppy and her crew, the Kingsmen contact their American counterparts, Statesman, who agree to help them in their quest. Although they have the same agenda - save the world - the Kingsmen and the Statesmen have very different methods and values but they must put these aside and work together if they stand any chance of bringing down the Golden Circle. Finally, in 'The King's Man' (2021), when some of history's most evil figures, including assassin Gavrilo Princip (Joel Basman), spy Mata Hari (Valerie Pachner) and monk Grigori Rasputin (Rhys Ifans), join forces to plot the outbreak of the First World War, aristocrat Orlando Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) sets out to stop them.
