John R. Leonetti directs this horror prequel to 'The Conjuring' (2013). In 1970 in California, John (Ward Horton) thinks he has found the perfect gift for his wife Mia (Annabelle Wallis) and their unborn child: a vintage porcelain doll. However, after they are attacked in their home by members of a satanic cult, the doll is possessed and the family is plagued by a series of inexplicable events. Unable to rid themselves of the doll, John and Mia discover that the cult members summoned a demon which is now intent on claiming a human soul. With Mia its intended target, can they find a way to stop the demon before it's too late? The cast also includes Alfre Woodard, Tony Amendola and Kerry O'Malley.
