Christiana Dell'Anna stars in the eponymous role in this biographical drama based on the life of Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini. After arriving in 1880s New York City, Cabrini is pained by the sights of disease, poverty and violence amongst its most vulnerable citizens. Determined to lead the people to positive change, she attempts to draw awareness to those in power, but her gender, limited English-speaking and bouts of illness prove to be enormous challenges in her mission to give the people a hopeful future.
