Ishaaq draws from its geographical roots in Sweden and India to make something truly quirky and swinging. Completely carefree, Ishaaq mixes psychedelic electro with trippy dub with naive nursery rhyme-like melodies. A borderless hybrid where Sweden meets Goa, meets Jamaica meets the Balearic Islands, meets the present, the future, and the past. So put Ishaaq's Andra in the crate for psychedelic raga-dub-folk-pop-prog... you know that genre. Andra is also the world's first plant-based vinyl album, made from compostable bioplastic. And the covers are screen printed on the inside of old album covers. This is thus the most environmentally friendly album that can be bought today - worldwide. Andra is produced by producer icon Jari Haapalainen, and recorded in The End studio in Lund, together with Swedish and Indian musicians such as Daniel Bingert and Suranjana Gosh. The album was mixed in Berlin and in Athens.
