Chris Kyles (Bradley Cooper) uppdrag är att skydda sina vapenbröder samtidigt som han själv är måltavlan för rebeller. Trots faran och trots att han måste lämna sin egen familj klarar han sig igenom fyra hemska uppdrag i Irak och personifierar därmed SEAL:s ledord att aldrig lämna kvar någon. När han återvänder till sin fru, Taya (Sienna Miller) och sina barn märker Chris emellertid att det här är ett krig som han inte kan lämna bakom sig.

Filmen utspelar sig i en nära framtid när klimatförändringar har lett till att grödorna slår fel och att all mat håller på att ta slut. Världen går inte att rädda, men kanske mänskligheten... En grupp forskare och upptäcktsresande planerar att hitta en ny värld i en annan galax genom att färdas genom ett nyupptäckt maskhål nära Saturnus. Det blir det viktigaste uppdraget i mänsklighetens historia.

The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded with the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Founding members Jones, Page and Plant - along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham - took the stage at London's O2 Arena in 2007 to headline a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, a dear friend and Atlantic Records' founder. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In January of 2014, the band won their first ever Grammy award as Celebration Day, which captured their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert, was named Best Rock Album.
