Cotton James: Buddah blues [3 CD]

Buddy Guy is an exponent of the Chicago blues and has influenced eminent guitarists including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa and John Mayer. 'Sweet Tea' is essentially a covers album where Buddy delves into Mississippi hill country blues covering songs from several of those genres big names. Guy covers no less than four Junior Kimbrough songs on this one. Much of this album is what today is known as trance blues with long sometimes meandering trance inducing jams. From the 12-minute "I Got to Try It, Girl" to the closing Guy composition "It's a Jungle Out There," <br/>'Sweet Tea' has all the hallmarks of a classic blues album.

The Blues Is Alive And Well is är uppföljaren till "Born To Play Guitar" som släpptes 2015 och som gick direct in på första platsen på Billboards Top Blues Album Chart.<br/><br/>På albumet medverkar Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck och James Bay.

DeWolff bildades i Geleen långt nere i den Nederländska södern av tonåringarna Pablo (sång/gitarr) och brodern Luka van de Poel (trummor) samt hammondorganisten Robin Piso. Namnet fick de från Harvey Keitels karaktär Winston Wolfe i filmen Pulp Fiction. Deras coola, expressiva, neo-psykedeliska musik tog dem snart bort från hemstaden och ut i världen.<br/><br/>De har redan släppt fem studioalbum som samtliga hamnat på topplistan i hemlandet. Då de ännu var i tonåren spelade de på prestigefyllda Paradiso i Amsterdam och stora scenen på PinkPop-festivalen inför tiotusen fans.<br/><br/>Sedan följde ett frenetiskt turnerande där de utvecklats till ett enastående liveband. De har spelat inför trettiotusen människor på Lowland-festivalen, femtontusen på Sziget samt Reeperbahn, Rockpalast, Rock Oz Arenas samt agerat förband åt the Black Keys, Blues Pills, Ten Years After och Deep Purple.

Immortal is the second album by Beth Hart, listed as the Beth Hart Band. She's backed by some amazing musicians and showing the pure force of nature that is her voice. It's blues rock at its best, from the first track "Run" to the incredible album closer "Blame the Moon". The pure beauty of her emotions brings the deepness of the songs to the surface. Even when it's not her best known album, it's an album which is impressive from the first note to the last. Her vocal quality can be compared with the great gifts of Janis Joplin and Tracy Chapman.
