The newest album from Rhiannon Giddens', You're the One is her third solo studio album and her first of all original songs. This collection of 12 songs written over the course of Giddens' career bursts with life-affirming energy, drawing from the folk music that she knows so deeply, as well as its pop descendants. Produced by Jack Splash (Solange, Alicia Keys, Valerie June), You're the One features some of Giddens' closest musical collaborators from the past decade, including multi-instrumentalists Francesco Turrisi and Dirk Powell, bassist Jason Sypher, and Congolese guitarist Niwel Tsumbu. The album features electric and upright bass, conga, Cajun and Piano accordions, guitars, a Western string section, and Miami horns, among other instruments, capturing the inclusive spirit that channels through all of her work. <br/><br/>"I hope that people just hear American music," Giddens says. "Blues, jazz, Cajun, country, gospel, and rock-it's all there. I like to be where it meets organically. They're fun songs, and I wanted them to have as much of a chance as they could to reach people who might dig them but don't know anything about what I do. If they're introduced to me through this record, they might go listen to other music I've made with a different set of ears."

To celebrate 50 years since the start of Tina Turner's iconic solo career, 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll' is a huge compilation of 55 tracks that compiles an incredible anthology of Tina's legendary solo career through her singles. <br/><br/>From her cover of 'Whole Lotta Love' all the way up to the Kygo remix of 'What's Love Got to Do With It' in 2020, this is the first time her whole singles collection has been released as one set.

Swedish singer and songwriter Jesper Lindell is ready to release his third full length album, "Before The Sun". Just like its predecessor "Twilights" (2022), "Before The Sun" was recorded and mixed at Jesper's own studio Brunnsvik Sounds, located right outside Ludvika, Dalarna. The album was produced by Björn Pettersson and Jesper Lindell and besides his touring band, we get guest appearances by Brunnsvik Horns and American folk/country star in rising Kassi<br/>Valazza.<br/>"Before The Sun" will be released by GG Records/Border on CD, LP and all<br/>digital platforms March 1, 2024.<br/>The first single taken from the album is the opening track,"One Of These Rainy Days" (release November 3, 2023), A soulful statement, claiming a musical territory previously inhabited by greats like Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs and The Band. Now there's a new kid in town and his name is Jesper Lindell!<br/>Much has happened since the release of "Twilights" in March 2022. The album was very well received in Sweden and internationally, enabling Jesper and his band to tour the album for more than a year. And they did some serious touring for sure. Since the release they don 150+ gigs back home in Scandinavia and in France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and the UK. The heavy touring has allowed Jesper Lindell to grow even further as vocalist and stage personality. And the<br/>band has developed into a smooth machine, delivering on top level night after night.<br/><br/>Despite the hectic schedule, Jesper Lindell also found time to record 5 songs for his solo project "Windows". The first volume was release in August 2023. God only knows when volume 2 will be recorded. Or to be more correct, only Jesper knows.<br/><br/>In the history of music, there are some strange, almost mythical places. Muscle Shoals is actually a pretty gloomy small town in Alabama, but for music fans it's a Mecca, due to all the great music recorded there. Woodstock has its charm with its artist colony and chick boutiques, but it's because of all the groundbreaking music created there that music buffs talk about Woodstock as a holy place. Bakersfield was and is a farming town with some oil findings in California. Nothing much going on there except it was the birthplace of a brand new sub-genre of country music in the 60-ties. In the future we might add Brunnsvik to the list of mythical music locations? A place with a fertile ground for timeless music, with deep roots and viability. Just like the music Jesper Lindell and his band gives us on the new album "Before The Sun". Timeless, proud and beautiful music!

Slipknot has always bent the world to its own collective will.
