1980s sci-fi adventure based on the 1930s comic strip created by Alex Raymond. American football hero Flash (Sam J. Jones) is dragged from Earth to the outer reaches of the universe where he must battle the evil dictatorship of Ming the Merciless (Max von Sydow), emperor of the planet Mongo.<br/><br/>He is aided in his quest by technical wizard Dr Hans Zarkov (Topol), the winged Prince Vultan (Brian Blessed) and the brooding Prince Barin (Timothy Dalton).

Rosanna Arquette stars in this Mike Hodges thriller. Martha Travis (Arquette) travels around the American South conning the locals into thinking she is clairvoyant. However, one night she really does receive a message from beyond; from the husband of a woman sitting in the audience who then proclaims that her husband is very much alive and kicking.<br/><br/>Several hours later, however, the man is very much dead. Martha soon finds that her newfound talent leads her into dangerous territory when a contract killer is onto her... and she finds it hard to convince those around her.
