It offers a strong, culturally outspoken album that appeals to both the mind and soul. Soul Is Heavy stays true to Nneka's African and Western European roots with a successful fusion of reggae, dub, dancehall, hip hop, and soul. The album features the popular singles "Shining Star", "My Home" and "Soul Is Heavy" and features songs with Ms. Dynamite, Black Thought (The Roots) and Wura Samba & Mohammed.Soul Is Heavy is available as a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on gold and black marbled vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve.
