The Brood

 

I vad David Cronenberg själv har kallat sin mest klassiska skräckfilm, hamnar den psykotiska Nola Carveth hos den kontroversielle terapeuten Dr Raglan för att se om hans experimentella psykoterapi kan lindra hennes problem. I stället sker en rad våldsdåd i Nolas närhet, det ena mer bestialiskt än det andra. Hennes föräldrar och hennes barns lärarinna mördas, och dottern attackeras.

Oliver Reed gör huvudrollen som Nolas man, som lyckas spåra dåden till sin frus terapeut - och möts av ondska långt bortom det begripliga när han får uppleva Dr Raglans klinik med sina egna ögon.

A worried father attempts to uncover a controversial psychologist's unconventional therapy techniques on his institutionalised wife, amidst a series of horrific murders that seem to be targeting those closest to him.
