Beeban Kidron directs this American comedy. Travelling to a drag queen beauty pageant in Hollywood, three New York 'girls' find themselves in for a shock when their car breaks down in the mid-western town of Snydesville. Realising how dull their new surroundings are they decide to make the best of it and set about bringing a little glitz and glamour into the lives of the staid local citizenry.
